Law enforcement officials in Gary, Indiana say seven people were shot and one person has been taken into custody in relation to the shooting investigation.
CBS News reported there was no immediate information about the conditions of the victims or the motive for the shooting.
Police officers discovered four male victims and three female victims Sunday morning. An eighth person was injured fleeing the shooting.
Detective Sgt. William Fazekas said two male individuals are thought to be responsible for the shooting.
“One is in custody right now and the other one is going to be identified; I’m working on that right now,” Fazekas told The Chicago Tribune.
