The president of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops is strongly condemning the forces of division that are preying upon people’s fears, Fox News reports.
U.S. Cardinal Daniel DiNardo, archbishop of Galveston-Houston area in Texas, also urged for immigration policies that keep families’ together on Monday at the fall meeting in Baltimore, Maryland of the nation’s Roman Catholic bishops.
Cardinal DiNardo said being “pro-life” means fighting abortion and supporting more generous immigration policies.
The bishops will meet in public sessions on Tuesday evening in Baltimore.
Last month DiNardo was part of a group of Catholic bishops that condemned president Trump’s decision to end DACA.
The group of bishops called the president’s decision “reprehensible” and “heartbreaking,” American Magazine reported.
