Fox News host Jeanine Pirro is heading to court after being issued a ticket for excessive speeding Sunday in New York, the New York Daily News reports.
New York State Police say the Fox News television host was clocked driving 119 mph in a 65 mph zone when she was stopped by a law enforcement officer Sunday afternoon in Tioga County.
Pirro released a statement via Fox News that claimed she was driving to visit her sick mother in Elmira, New York.
“I had been driving for hours to visit my ailing 89-year-old mom and didn’t realize how fast I was driving,” she said. “I believe in the rule of law and I will pay the consequences.”
